As the Scripture commands, we must be diligent to make our calling and election sure. Yes, we want to be as successful as we can in this life in, pushing forward the crown rights of Jesus on earth as it is in heaven. But many choose to be focused on their life here only, as if they’ll be on earth forever, without considering their future in the life to come. And there is but one solid foundation for us to build this house upon, and that foundation is Christ. He alone is the foundation. Everything else is sinking sand.
