Represented By AdamAccording to Scripture, one man’s disobedience caused the whole human race to be plunged into sin and death. But doesn’t this seem a bit unfair? Why does God choose to penalize everyone for Adam’s sin?
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 1:3
The death of Jesus is first and foremost an atonement for the sins of his people. But the death of Jesus also serves as the supreme example of sacrificial love that each of us must follow.
Love drives out fear. In other words, love is the antidote to fear. And the people of God should be filled with love because God first loved us by sending us his Son.
As followers of Christ, we should strive to grow in our faith and be as pleasing to God as we possibly can. Although the faith of a mustard seed is sufficient for salvation, Christians should aspire for more.
