This week Paul Pitts III from Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA teaches on Romans Matthew 6:19-24. His focus was on storing up for ourselves treasures in heaven “where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal”, rather than the fleeting treasures of this earth.
This week Pastor Costi Hinn from Redeemer Bible Church in Gilbert, AZ teaches on Romans 1:16-17. His focus was on the true power of the gospel as opposed to other false forms of power, such as fabricated signs and wonders, the agenda of social justice, and the seeker-sensitive approach of pragmatism.
This week Pastor Joel’s teaching was on the topic of Church Membership. His primary biblical text was Matthew 18:15-17. His focus was on the necessity of local church membership as the only sufficient context for practical obedience to several of the commandments found in the New Testament.
We are blessed when we are persecuted for doing good. We are blessed when we are reviled for righteousness sake. But we are NOT blessed if we are fools, merely experiencing the natural consequences of being a jerk. Discernment and spiritual maturity is required to know the difference.
