The goal of evangelism is to get people to KNOW Jesus, God will determine if they LOVE Jesus.
James 4:14 says, “What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” The inescapable reality that each of us will one day die should not cause us to panic, but to make the most of this life for the glory of God.
What’s the difference between people being “utterly” depraved and people being “totally” depraved? What would the world look like if mankind was truly “utterly” depraved.
Christian Liberty is a precious commodity in the body of Christ. And yet, at the same time, Elders are called to preach persuasively. So how do we balance strong preaching with the freedom of an individual’s conscience?
Christians should be informed and engaged in both culture and politics. But remember: We are not mere “conservatives,” we are Christians. We go out into the world to produce change, but we only do this effectively when we go into the Sanctuary to be changed.
At the end of the day, I really don’t care if we disagree on Eschatology. I just want to spend the rest of my life partnering with brothers who want to FULLY obey Jesus in ALL of life.
