There are many in the Church today who attempt to write off mass portions of Scripture as primitive, cultural constructs no longer relevant today. However, although some portions of Scripture may contain a cultural component, the vast majority of Scripture still applies to our lives regardless of how unpopular it may be.

All throughout Scripture, men and women are commended for their faith. Some experienced victory, others experienced crushing defeat. God sovereignly determined the temporal results of their faith, but everyone who had faith was commended regardless of the outcome.
The Scripture places a large emphasis on the need for men to work hard. Unfortunately, due to modern convenience and entitlement, many men have been deceived into thinking that work is unimportant. In some cases, this results in not only apathy but depression and anxiety.
