One of the most common heresies found in Charismatic Churches is the Kenosis Heresy. It’s a common, but serious, misunderstanding of Philippians 2.
“Note, In confessing sin, as we take shame to ourselves, so we give glory to God as righteous God, owning him justly displeased with us…” -Matthew Henry “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.” Psalm 51:4 ESV
Hebrews 10:24-25 Hebrews 3:12 Hebrews 3:13 Matthew 18:15-17 Matthew 18:17-20 Revelation 1:9-16 Joel Webbon
“Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.” (Hebrews 3:12 ESV)
