Many Christians tip their hat to the INERRANCY of Scripture, but never live in such a way to demonstrate genuine belief in the SUFFICIENCY of Scripture.
Scripture has two clear qualifications for Elders: 1) They must be able to “instruct in sound doctrine.” 2) They must be able to “rebuke those who contradict it.” Faithful pastors cannot merely teach the truth, they must also diligently work to expose error.
In the name of Big, Flashy, and Fast, Evangelicals sacrificed the souls of their own children on the altar of global missions. And here we are, still picking up the pieces.
God certainly speaks to mankind through natural revelation. In other words, God speaks by what he has made. However, natural revelation, while sufficient to condemn mankind, is still missing a few things.
As a father, it is not enough to tell your children the truth of God’s Word. Fathers must believe this truth for themselves and diligently live it out in practical obedience to God’s Word.
